Just Beyond The Light

Can’t fight can’t move can’t scream
Twilight between waking and dream
Just a silence thick as stone
And the suspicion that I’m not alone
How do you pray when the gods can't hear
Hope stuck in my throat I choke frozen with fear

Just beyond the light
On the edge of sight
Shadows full of spite
They wait for me Their eyes are bleeding

Here I am again
Staring at my hands
Eyes full of sand
Not quite sure my heart is beating

Shadows in the corners stare
Glowing eyes in midnight air
I can’t move, and I can’t fight
Trapped beneath the weight of night

Can't speak can't scream…
Can't imagine this is just a dream
A panic rides my hollow chest
Terror resides in every breath
Veins of night wrap round my skin
Darkness reigns where the light once lived
Shadows bloom like flowers rot
I choke on silence pray to what?
