About this release

It would seem that many people are clinging on to memories of the past, partly to try and drown out the painful realities of the world today. The past wasn't perfect then, for many reasons obvious to most, but times were simpler. People at the time had made something out of it no matter what was going down in a way that made the world seem a little more cheerful.

Now, everything feels stagnant. Almost completely flat. And it seems that no one cares enough to try and remedy that. Division and hatred are increasingly rampant, and seemingly fewer and fewer human beings on this planet have any common sense, let alone dignity. People are becoming increasingly less civil. Everything is over-complicated when it has no business in being that way in the first place.

I used to be a very outgoing person, with a very positive outlook. Now, I look on in apathy at the world before me, a sea full of hostile, obscene, unpleasant, and downright drab sentients who would rather switch than take accountability for a series of fuck-ups of their own doing.

Whilst things are never going to go back to the way they were (hence the title), I can, at the very least, channel that longing for a better, or at the very least, a simpler time without all of this noise, with the power of music. That is exactly what I've done once again with this album.

If this resonates with you, that is more than good enough for me.

From yours truly,
Operation X-trasonic Ordinance
