It sounds dumb but one of the most profound things I've ever felt before was when I finally believed I deserved to be loved exactly as I am and I'm allowed to take up space without being too much to handle. It's such a basic life lesson when hindsight is 20/20 but it's one I learned very very late in my life. I've always masked and edited parts of me to be quieter, smaller. I don't do that anymore.
